OUR MISSION

"THAT YE MAY APPROVE THINGS THAT ARE EXCELLENT; THAT YE MAY BE SINCERE AND WITHOUT OFFENCE TILL THE DAY OF CHRIST. . ." (PHILIPPIANS 1:10)

OUR MISSION

The Pilgrims Bible Baptist Mission has only one reason for existence, that is, to fulfill the Great Commission of Christ as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20:: (1) to teach all nations, (2) baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, and (3) teaching them to observe all things that Christ commanded. This three-fold commission of the Lord is the marching order for every New Testament church and to be perpetuated until His glorious return.

In view of this, we stand committed:

1. To follow the Biblical pattern for founding and establishing local, fundamental, independent, Bible-based churches (Acts 14:22-23), and not to turn aside to man-made strategies or make use of compromising ideas to fulfill our mission.

2. To preach the gospel of Christ to every creature because it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes (Rom. 1:16), and not to use the power of persuasion to convince people nor to esteem those of a particular race, culture or tongue more than others.

3. To follow-up our converts for baptism and provide them an environment for spiritual nurture and growth (Matt. 28:20), and not to leave them in the open without any spiritual care.

4. To declare all the counsels of God without apology or inhibition (Acts 20:27), and not to please the hearers by just telling them what they want to hear.

5. To speak the things which become sound doctrine (Titus 2:1), and not to be turned unto fables, modern innovations or traditional and unbiblical practices.

6. To feed the flock of God and to lead them willingly and of a ready mind, and not to control them by constraint and of a filthy lucre (1 Pet. 5:2).

7. To demonstrate an example of godliness to the Lord's flock and let them take pleasure in serving the Lord, and not to lord over God's heritage and exploit their sincerity in serving God (1 Pet. 5:3).

8. To demonstrate our love to the brethren in deed and in truth (1 John 3:18), and not to just express our love in word or in tongue.

9. To support the Lord's ministers and workers both prayerfully and financially (1 Cor. 9:14), and not to hoard God's resources for no profit in the kingdom of God.

10. To remain steadfast, unmovable and always abounding in the work of the Lork until His return (1 Cor. 15:58), and not to mishandle our opportunities in the furtherance of the gospel of Christ.
